1. Super Casual and Relaxed

Gordon’s Wine Bar

Busiest times: Friday and Saturday early evening

Dress code: relaxed, with plenty of suits after work on weekdays

 

A classic favourite of the MFC team, the vibe at Gordon’s is romantic and cosy inside, and relaxed in the extended terrace outside. Great for early drinks or those that go on and on…

2. Hipster Hangout

The Bar With No Name

Drinks prices: c. £10 per cocktail

Busiest times: Saturday night

Dress code: hipster-tastic

 

This speakeasy-style bar is a dark and vintage noir dream, with cocktails to die for. Somewhere to take people who appreciate a drink with pedigree and distinction…

3. A bit snazzy but welcoming

The 10 Cases

Drinks prices: £6-12 a glass

Busiest times: Friday early evening and Saturday night

Dress code: relaxed, but well- tailored

 

10 Cases specializes in new wine discoveries as they only buy 10 cases of each wine, so as to keep the list fresh. Impress a wine buff by taking them here, but don’t worry if your own knowledge doesn’t cut the mustard as the staff are massive wine geeks who are eager to share their suggestions!

4. The Place To Be Seen

Aqua Shard

Busiest times: Friday and Saturday night

Dress code: Glam, with heels

 

Aqua is all about the view of London you get from half-way up the Shard. Drinks are not cheap, but worth it for excellent taste and that view. Quite easy to pretend you’re in a Bond film, possibly as the baddie…!

5. Pushing The Boat Out

American Bar at the Savoy

Drinks prices: c. £20 upwards

Busiest times: Early evening for pre-dinner snifters

Dress code: Expensively upholstered

 

Drinking at the home of cocktails in London is a special old-school experience. This legendary bar is for those nights when you’re really pushing the boat out, and comes with a live pianist and over a century of mixologist experience!
