Meet the Post-Covid Team

With us starting to host events this month, we needed to ensure we had a solid team to hit the ground running. Ensuring everyone has a great time at each of our events is paramount, but also being able to juggle new government regulations (which seem to change on a weekly basis!) whilst planning our events is essential. We’re thrilled to have these guys on board…

Georgie, Event Director – London

Joining us as the new Event Director, Georgie is the latest addition to the post-Covid My Friend Charlie family! She has been living in South West London for over 10 years and is NO stranger to the London dating scene! Wine enthusiast, regular party hostess and avid London cyclist and sports player, Georgie has a real passion for bringing people together and will be hosting London’s events for you. We can’t wait to see what she has in store for us!

Favourite wine: Big question! But right now – provencal rose Chateau D’Ollieres 2019 🍷

One thing you learnt during lockdown: I’ve mastered the sewing machine, and have set up a small business making face masks!

Shaun, Area Manager – Manchester

Shaun Area Manager Manchester

Moving up from Event Host to Area Manager (& Host!), Shaun has a history of event management spanning back as far as 2011, specialising in bringing people together over common interests such as music, games and charity. He manages the Manchester community over on Reddit, so is no stranger to the goings-on in Manchester! Shaun has a passion for acting, and has been in a bunch of movies and TV shows, such as “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”!

Favourite rum: Sailor Jerry’s before they ruined the recipe, but Lambs Navy now!

One thing you learnt during lockdown: How much weight I gain when the gyms are closed!

Sophie, Area Manager – Bristol

Sophie Area Manager Bristol

Sophie is a natural born hostess who loves food and a great night out so no wonder she ended up in hospitality and events management. She worked for the Bristol Food Tour promoting all the lovely independent eateries which the city has to offer and can often be spotted at a gig, a yoga class or having a wander on her bike. French native she might even share a tip or two on how things are done on the other side of the channel. Looks like you are in good hands Bristol!

Favourite hobby: Currently, my barre class, can’t spend a week without it!

One thing you learnt during lockdown: To make Chocolate & Hazelnut Babka buns – thank you Ottolenghi 😋
